Maima General Dealers is a social enterprise dedicated to empowering women poultry farmers in Zambia. Our mission is to bridge the gap in the poultry industry by providing essential support, clean energy solutions, and financial resources to women-led businesses. We believe in the power of women entrepreneurs driving climate action, transforming lives, and creating sustainable change.

We’re proud to empower women in agriculture. We helped 500 women poultry farmers with clean energy solutions such as solar-powered equipment for more efficient operations. Our goal is to support women farmers in building sustainable businesses.

What We Do
Capacity Building
We provide comprehensive training and workshops, equipping women entrepreneurs with knowledge about clean energy solutions, hydroponic fodders, and smart climate actions. Our certified trainers and technical support team ensure continuous learning and growth.
Access to Finance
Maima General Dealers has pioneered a unique ERP system, connecting women poultry farmers with micro-finance institutions. With our special financing vehicles, 100+ women poultry farmers have accessed funding for climate adaptation, fostering financial inclusion and sustainability.

Business Partnership Facility Program (2022)
- Funded by: African Development Bank and Global Centre for Adaptation
- Impact: Trained 1,250 women poultry farmers in hydroponic fodder production and established a dedicated training center.

ERP System Upgrade (2020-2022)
- Funded by: MTN Zambia, UNDP, SEED, AU-IBAR, Mooto Holdings
- Impact: Developed an ERP system, facilitating financial records management and climate financing access for women poultry farmers.

Kweza Business Competition (2022)
- Funded by: Zambia National Commercial Bank
- Impact: Established a processing facility processing 3,000 chickens daily, providing a stable market for over 5,000 women poultry farmers.
